We believe that every child has something special to contribute.
Our children are given genuine opportunities to take on responsibility and become leaders within our academy. Our Makaton Champions, Play Leaders, Academy Council representatives, Attendance All-Stars and Barcroft Bank Clerks all play an important role in making Barcroft the best it can be.
These opportunities help children to develop confidence, communication, teamwork and independence while understanding that their voice matters.
🌿 The Willows – Learning in a Way That Works for Every Child
Our specialist Willows provision is a very special part of Barcroft. It provides bespoke support and learning experiences for children with additional needs, with individual needs, wellbeing and independence at the heart of provision.
Through sensory experiences, nurture, practical learning, speech and language support, emotional wellbeing activities and an adapted curriculum, children are supported to thrive while continuing to be part of the wider Barcroft community.
We are incredibly proud of our inclusive approach and our commitment to ensuring that every child belongs, every child is heard and every child can succeed.
💷 Welcome to Barcroft Bank!
Where else might your child's hard work earn them their very own school currency?
At Barcroft Bank, children can earn and save Barcoins for positive behaviour, excellent attendance, demonstrating our Barcroft Values and achieving their reading goals.
Our Year 5 pupils become Barcroft Bank Clerks, taking responsibility for helping to run the bank and manage children's accounts. Children can then spend their Barcoins in our Barcroft Shop or save them for special rewards and experiences.
It is a fun and memorable way of developing children's understanding of responsibility, saving, money and the value of hard work.
📚 A Learning Environment Like No Other
We believe that our environment should inspire children the moment they walk through the door.
At Barcroft, learning can take place anywhere!
Our children explore a Harry Potter-inspired corridor, enjoy our book-themed reading spaces and can even discover their next favourite book through our Book Vending Machine.
Our reading spaces are designed to make books feel exciting, accessible and special. Our Barbooks Reading Room gives children a unique place to escape into stories, develop their love of reading and discover new worlds.
Across the academy, classrooms and shared spaces are carefully designed to celebrate children's learning, spark curiosity and create a sense of wonder.

At Barcroft, we want children to leave us with more than a set of academic results.
We want them to leave as confident personalities, resilient learners, independent thinkers and thoughtful, caring members of their community.
Our children experience opportunities in music, sport, the arts, reading, leadership, wellbeing and community projects. They take part in clubs, performances, competitions, visits, fundraising and special events that help them discover interests and talents they may never have known they had.
