Our Vision
At Barcroft Academy, we believe that every child is unique, full of potential, and capable of achieving great things. We are dedicated to providing a nurturing, inspiring, and inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued, and confident to take on new challenges.
We encourage our pupils to believe in themselves, to dream big, and to be ambitious and aspirational in everything they do. Through a curriculum rich in opportunities, we empower children to become resilient learners who persevere in the face of difficulty and embrace mistakes as part of the journey to success.
We value confidence, respect, and kindness, teaching our pupils to care for others, celebrate diversity, and contribute thoughtfully to their community. By promoting open-mindedness and free-thinking, we help children to develop curiosity, creativity, and the courage to express their ideas, while respecting the views of others.
Our vision is to prepare every pupil not only for the next stage of their education but also for life in the modern world. We aim to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and values they need to flourish in an ever-changing society and to make a positive difference in the world around them.

Our BARCROFT Values
Each half term, we focus on a new 'BARCROFT' value.
Each week class teachers award a pupil from their class with 'Values Superstar'. In our Values assembly, pupils hear from their teachers how they have demonstrated the BARCROFT value to be their Values Superstar.
Our Values Superstars win a certificate; one of Mrs Locke's special gold 'Values Superstar' stickers and 10 Barcoins!

Our Academy Rules
Our three rules underpin Barcroft Academy's Vision and Values.
Be Kind
- Treat others the way you would like to be treated.
- Use kind words and actions with classmates, teachers, and everyone in the school.
- Include others, share, and help when you can.
Be Safe
- Take care of yourself and others by making safe choices.
- Walk inside the school, use materials properly, and follow directions.
- Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
Be Ready to Learn
- Come to class prepared with the things you need.
- Listen carefully, follow instructions, and try your best.
- Have a positive attitude and be willing to practice and grow.
